This is a true testimony that I would like to share because I have seen so much happen in my life since the day I met Gert & Eleonor in mid-2013.  

I would first of all like to thank Gert for the instrument he was in bringing my daughter back to me through his endless and unselfish prayers. I want to thank everyone that prayed with him for my daughter’s safety in August 2013 when she decided to take her own life. People that I don’t even know prayed for her and by the Grace of God, she could not do what she planned to do. In October 2013, Gert, Ockie, and Yolanda prayed over my daughter and when I returned two hours later to fetch her, she was like a newborn baby. Completely positive, laughing happily and smiling.  I believed in miracles but this was just too good to be true. Ever since she has just grown from strength to strength. All Glory and Honor to God in the Highest. I can only thank God every day for people like Gert and Mount Zion Ministries who dedicate their lives to saving souls. But I also just want to add that God has truly blessed him with a wife like Eleonor, who is truly an Angel.

Now to get back to the most amazing miracle that took place right in front of my eyes.

In March when Gert & Eleonor were here to present their course, my daughter and I attended it together for the second time. The reason is that we have missed some days in October 2013 and I felt that we could only benefit by attending it once again.  Believe me, you learn something new every time. My daughter was bitten by a spider on or around the 20th of March, we did not think much of it at the time, as we thought it was only a bad mosquito bite. On Sunday 23 March she was baptized by Gert and it was such a surprise to me. I never convinced her or asked her (as she was raised as a true Muslim), she just heard that he was going to baptize people on Sunday and she said that she was getting baptized too. Sunday evening she became feverish and Monday lunchtime she phoned me from work and said, “Mom please come and fetch me so we can just go to the chemist to get something, this mosquito bite is starting to ache badly.” I rushed through and took her to the nearest chemist, the pharmacist gave her some ointment and anti-histamine and said that it was just an inflamed mosquito bite and she must have scratched it badly. Tuesday morning she was worse and her leg just above her ankle, where she was bitten, was turning black. By 10 o’clock she phoned me and said, “Mom please take me to the doctor I am feeling terrible.” I again rushed through to her and took her home because she could only see the doctor at 4 o’clock, but she was burning up. When the doctor saw the bite mark he immediately said that it was a spider bite and gave her an injection and a bag full of antibiotics. She was to lie with her leg in the air for three days and not walk on it at all. He however said that if by the next morning it was not much better she was to come back to him immediately and would be admitted to hospital. I never even thought of phoning Gert to tell him but told my friend Lynette what had happened. Lynette knows Gert much longer than I have and phoned him immediately. In the interim, my daughter was burning up from the fever and I was extremely concerned. Where we live the cell phone signal is extremely bad and after numerous phone calls from Yolanda, where Gert and Eleonor were staying, I eventually found a signal on the side of the couch. I sat down and put the phone on speaker and called my daughter to come and sit at my feet while telling Gert what happened. He immediately told me to get oil, bless it, and put it on the bite mark. He started praying, I was praying with him while holding my finger on her leg where she was bitten. My finger started burning and after about 5 minutes into praying her fever immediately broke. My daughter said it felt like a cool breeze came over her body. The color of the bite mark started to visibly change. The next morning it was completely pink. She stopped taking her antibiotics immediately because they made her very sick and she told me that she was fine. She was booked off until Friday and “stayed home just in case it became worse again.” God forgive us for having any doubts. (The antibiotics came in handy a week later when I got the flu badly.)  I took her to work on Friday morning and as she was about to enter the office, right above the door where she enters, she saw this huge ugly black spider.  (Amazing). One final miracle is that my son, who was a staunch Muslim, just decided on Easter Sunday after church that he was converting to Christianity. All the Praise and Honor to our Lord Jesus Christ and his wonderful disciples who are doing His work.  May God Bless them and give them what is rightfully owed to them.   –   Anonymous
